I’m Karis, a South London-based independent celebrant, working with families to create services that feel right for the person they’ve lost.
I conduct funeral services and memorials in crematoriums, private gardens, or wherever people choose to come together and remember someone they love.
My role is simple and its to make sure that person is honoured properly, their life is remembered, and the people around them have space to grieve, to laugh, to smile, and to just sit in it all.
Funerals are a rite of passage and everyone deserves a proper send-off!

How it works
A calm, straightforward approach so everything feels clear and you’re supported at every step

We'll start with a conversation
We’ll talk, either in person or over the phone / zoom about the person you’ve lost. I’ll ask about who they were, what mattered to them, and the memories you want to hold onto.

I write the service
From there, I’ll shape everything into a service that reflects them properly, not just the facts, but the feeling of who they were.

I take care of the flow
I’ll coordinate with the funeral director and crematorium so everything is clear and in place.

On the day
I’ll lead the service from start to finish, so you don’t have to think about what comes next, you can just be there.
Each Service is different
No two people are the same, so no two services should be either.
Some families want something traditional with religious elements, others want something a little less formal and secular. Some want space for humour, others want it more reflective. Most just want a balance.
Whatever feels right for you, I’ll make sure it’s handled with care, clarity, and the right tone throughout
